Maps
The good admiral keeps Commander Panza very busy charting new galaxies amongst his other duties. These maps were designed to enable players to try various strategies in VGAP4 that may not have made sense in other contexts. Any players may freely use these maps for their own games, so long as the map is attributed to Admiral Quixote.
A very large map of 390 stars with a diameter of approximately 7,000 light-years. Designed primarily for hyper-races, it is a spread out galaxy with vast chasms of emptiness. Some of these gaps require multiple hyper-jumps to cross. It could also be fun for non-hyper races if the host scripted in jumpgates and/or wormholes. A 900 light-year diameter galaxy of 40 stars. It is intended for fast games with a small number of players. It was originally designed for the Darwin 4 tournament and has proven popular for short games and for duals. A series of sixty clusters of 7 stars for a total of 420 stars. A nice map for either hyper-races or non-hyper races. Admiral Quixote strongly advises against mixing the two types of races on this map due to the distances involved. This map was designed and first-used in the Darwin 2 tournament.
