You may have noticed a "powered by Nucleus" at the bottom left of my site. I have been using this blogging software since Kevin Whited convinced me to give it a try.
Today I upgraded to version 2.5 of Nucleus. This should not impact you, but if you notice anything odd, please let me know.
So far, so good. The only real change I have noticed is that the admin screens have been slightly modified (they are a little easier to navigate, but this is only a plus for new users).
I'm not sure if I would recommend the change since I haven't noticed any benefits, but making the change was quite easy - even for a non-technical type like myself.
I've also started playing with the email a friend plugin and that still needs tweaking, but that is not Wouter's fault.
I've just upgraded to version 3.1 in order to use the plugins NP_TABLE and NP_EXTRASKINS... I'm really glad of this... You seem to have switch to MT since then... May I ask you why ?
Sure. I have nothing against Nucleus - it has features MT does not - but when I hired the King of Fools to give my site a facelift, he was much more comfortable with MT. It is what he uses and he knows some nice tricks with it.
Since I'm much more of a user than a programmer I let him pursuade me to switch to MT. Other than losing all my old permalinks (which neither of us thought of until it happened), the switch was painless.
How is 2.5 behaving for you?
I don't have a "test" installation of Nucleus going anywhere right now, and I've been hesitant to upgrade my real sites to 2.5 beta, even though Wouter's beta releases tend to be more stable than, say, Microsofts new releases. :)
